Secondary School Choice
Posted by: Maggie, 08-Mar 10:38
Next year, our daughter will be year 6 and so will at some point be placed into a secondary school. Reading about the way this is done nowadays, we are making plans in case she doesn't get into the school(s) we choose.
So in case we decide to home educate, we just need to get things straight in our heads.
1. Who do we tell that we are going to do this? Do we need permission, or do we just do it?
2. Do we get funding to pay for books, equipment etc.?
3. How do we arrange exams and things?
4. Do we need to provide evidence of teaching to the LEA?
